As of January 8, 2026, the GHAD was informed of Paul McAlpine’s resignation from the GHAD Board. In accordance with Election Code Section 1780(c)(d)(1), the GHAD Board has 60 days to fill the vacancy via appointment, special election, or decide to leave the position vacant until the next general election cycle. At the January 12, 2026 board meeting, the GHAD Board opted to fill the vacancy by appointment. The Notice of Vacancy and Application for Vacancy can be found below. Applications for vacancy are due by February 20, 2026, for the GHAD Board’s consideration at the March 2, 2026, board meeting.
